Guess Who Is 8 Months!

So I really can't believe that my baby is eight months old already. I know I keep saying that but it really seems like this guy is growing up SO fast compared to his brothers. Anyways I just thought I would share what it is like to be eight months for our Mr. Tav man.
Current Stats:
Weight - 16lbs 6oz
Height - 27 inches
Teeth - 1
(But hopefully a few more coming to explain the drooling, fussing and sleepless nights!)
-Tav still spits up/barfs a lot, on the Prevacid and can keep down only about 4oz formula at a time (Thank goodness for solid foods!)
-He loves his baby food and is anxious and willing to try anything YOU are eating also.
-He is crawling all over the place and now pulls him self up to stand.
-He loves trying to keep up with his older brothers and loves to be right in the mix of things.
Just a few pictures (sorry once again for the horrible camera phone pictures!) to remember the big 8 months!
Wide eyed and curious
Baby Food = Orange Nose?!
Teething = A lot of crying
Mobile = Getting into sticky situations...
and into the dog food(repeatedly)!
Pulling yourself up
And getting your first bloody mouth after a face plant from 27 inches up.
Finding new and weird positions to sleep in.
Getting your hands on a fallen CheetoAnd loving every minute of it!

Christmas Sours
SOUR #1- The biggest Christmas SOUR is that I dropped and broke our camera about a week and a half before Christmas and therefore wasn't able to get ANY good pictures of Christmas this year! Whaa, whaa!!
SOUR #2- Finding somewhere to put all the new toys among all the old. (Even after I went through and de-toyed prior to Christmas)
SOUR #3- Loosing a patient suddenly and unexpectedly at work despite many heroic measures just 2 days before Christmas.
SOUR #4- Staying up for 36+ hours straight to finish Christmas shopping(after work.)Christmas Sweets

SWEET #1-Having both boys excited and without a fight, to go to bed! (Christmas Eve)

SWEET #2- The looks on the boys faces as they walked quietly into our room early Christmas morning(no clue what time it was) and trying desperately to go back to sleep in fear that Santa had not yet come.

SWEET #3- Watching Porter lay so still and quiet with his little eyes closed as tight as they could be pretending to be asleep so that Santa would still come.

SWEET#4- The atmosphere of "Christmas Morning"... family, excitement, joy!SWEET #5- Just spending time with my favorite bunch of guys!

Sweet #6- Purchase of a new camera in the works!!! Hallelujah

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!
He sees you when your sleeping...
He knows when your awake...
He knows if you've been bad or good...
So be good for goodness sake!
So here we are again, the month of December, Christmas and Santa Claus.
Although crazy as it always is this time of year I have to say that I really enjoy it. Not only for the treats, lights, good cheer but mainly because I can threaten my children with "Santa Claus" and they will ACTUALLY listen.... AT THAT VERY MOMENT!
I realize that this may sound a bit harsh or even cruel but my motto these days... "What ever works". The minute one of the kids starts misbehaving the threat comes...
Mom or Dad: "Do you want me to call Santa and tell him you are being bad?"
Porter: Instant panic on his face, "No! No! I'll be good!"
Phearson: Stops crying instantly, "I'll be good"
Ryan even goes a far as busting the cell phone out and putting it to his ear, which causes shear terror to Porter. (Porter asks Ryan who he is calling now every time he picks up a phone)
BUT IT WORKS!!
So I say YEA to Happy Holidays and an even bigger YEA to well behaved children.
(At least for one month out of the year)

It's Official!
My very last baby, is not so much a "baby" anymore. (tear)
He is now crawling, on the go, and very determined.
The first chance he got, he crawled right out the front door.
I'm a little worried that this may have been his first attempt at running away.
But don't you worry.
He agreed to come back and stay...
At least until after Christmas!
Let the FUN BEGIN!!

And Always, Lexie- "The baby spitter cleaner upper"(I bet you will think twice before you let her lick you hello next time, hun! "And yes, she does just sit next to him waiting, she KNOWS it won't be long!)

Can't wait to see what next week will bring!

Up to my eyeballs in Baby Food

Ok, so for the whole 5 of you who follow our blog regularly you may be wondering where I have been. No need to worry, we are all still here, alive and well. I have actually spent the whole last week trying to find a place for all of these...

And these...

Ok so maybe not ALL week, but rather than bore you will the daily, monotonous tasks that go along with being a mother and wife I thought I would share one of the more entertaining happenings of my week.

BABY FOOD

So I send the hubby off to the grocery store for a few things. Easy enough right, he has done it before, actually quite frequently.

"Do you have a list for me" he asks.

"No" I reply and continue to tell him that all we need is baby food and milk.

*Now just a little background info. Tav is 7 1/2 months old and has been eating baby food for several months, All different kinds of baby food.*

Anyways...

Ryan returns home with two grocery bags FULL of baby food.

"Ok...", I think to myself , "I guess we won't need baby food for a while".

"Was there a sale on baby food?" I ask casually.

"No, we just won't have to go shopping for baby food for a while" He replies.

Fair enough I think to myself wondering where I am going to find a place to PUT all 75 or so things of baby food in our TINY, if you even want to call it, Pantry.

But the kicker is... as I pull each item from the bags I realize that the only fruit is...

ALL peaches but maybe 4 applesauce's

AND more PEAS than all the other veggies total. (Really!? Seriously?! He knows that NONE of our children have EVER eaten PEAS!!)

Completely random.. but really.... not all that surprising!

Love ya babe, you always keep me guessing!!
