Never say Never

Yesterday was an eventful day here at the Rosenlof home. After lots of thought and consideration we traded in our...
TAHOE
For a MINIVAN! Now for those of you who know me probably know that, up until about 72 hrs ago, I said that I would NEVER drive a minivan. No offense to all of you out there who do drive minivans but I have just always refused the idea. (Clearly I thought I was much too cool for a minivan, I mean come on, my mom drove a minivan! No offense too you either mom!) I LOVED my Tahoe! I love to sit up high in a car, I love all the great features the Tahoe offered and I loved the look. But after lots of thinking we came to the conclusion that It was just time to move on to the next chapter in our "family" life. It was becoming difficult lifting the baby seat into the car (not to mention that the poor kid was practically sideways as I was doing it), getting all 3 kids into their car seat buckles, and spending millions of dollars on gas to tote everyone around town. The Tahoe also needed new tires, had 95,000 miles on it, the warranty was up, and the speakers were going out. (You notice how I am still "rationalizing" the new purchase to myself)
So here we are.... driving a minivan... and honestly... really actually enjoying it!
And don't you worry, we still rock the punk music and pile the skateboards in the back, even in a MINIVAN!!
"Honey, I am telling you we don't need a minivan"

Yeah! We are actually trying to sell our Armada to get a minivan. I swore I never would drive one too, but they are pretty comfy! Your family is way too cute to look bad in a minivan.

Hmmm...I'm remembering back to that bbq at your house when I was being LAUGHED at for saying I was dying for a minivan! I love that you caved.

ha ha... you are too funny! I can't wait to see you guys in it. Really when it comes down to it they are very convenient. I liked how you said you were still trying to rationalize it to yourself. Gas prices would be enough for me to make the switch.

I am so proud of you- you can now join the ranks of those that swore they would never do it! I was about your age when I did it and I moved from a sweet black Lexus to a white minivan. At least you were smart and went foreign for your van. My first was a Dodge and now I love my Honda. I looked at Toyota's as well. I must admit that in between the two, I tried a mini SUV and had to go back to the minivan!

who ever said that mini-vans aren't punk-rock? I'm hoping to rock one in the future! I love the one you chose- it's the one that I want!

now that is funny.....Join the crowd of looking cool in the mini van....Nice joice too Toyota and Honda are the only options to look some what cool. Rock it and people will jock it...yeah this is Ryan writing. It was hard for us to get rid of the Tahoe also but we love our Honda especially the dual sliders. Have fun and congrats on the new purchase. You are officially Mormon now!!!!!!!

I can understand. I too said never but actually would consider it if I had any more kids. It's just part of growing up and realizing that some things you have to do to make life easier. I totally would have gotten the Toyota too. Sad, but the foreign cars really last. Thanks for bringing it by and showing us!

Holy Cow!!!! I can't believe you guys got a mini van! I am in total shock! I am in the crowd with NEVER will I own a mini van. They have cool options (the dual sliding doors...I want those so bad!) can they put them on a truck or suburban please? I just can't do the mini van. Let me tell ya.....life if rough getting kids out of a truck 1ith 38" tires and a 10" lift.....I am on my tippy toes and still can barely buckle them in! So I can totally see the appeal of having something everyone can get in and out of easy! (Wow I am still shocked)
