The Laundry Mat

I often forget that it really doesn't take much to entertain a child. (You know... the whole idea that the child would rather play with the box than the gift that came in it.) I find myself frequently trying to come up with new and exciting things for my boys to do to keep them "entertained". There are coloring pages, games, toys, paints, bubbles, theme parks... I think you get the idea.

Well for weeks now I have been desperately needing to make a trip to the laundry mat to wash a few over sized items. I kept putting it off and putting it off because "I just couldn't find a good time." In other words, I didn't know how I would "entertain" my kids for a few hours at the laundry mat waiting for the stuff to wash and dry. They would be soooo bored (and whiny, and complaining ect.) I thought.

I was so wrong.

Give a kid some new surroundings, a different environment, and a few quarters, and call them entertained.

Who needs Disneyland when you have the Laundry Mat.
