My Dad

This is my Dad.. he is an amazing man. A couple of months ago he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The diagnoses was a bit of a shock and our family was a pretty stunned. You hear of other people being diagnosed with cancer but I don't think it really hits home until it is someone close to you. I was able to go to Utah last week as my Dad underwent surgery to remove his prostate. Surgery went well and the Dr. was able to remove all of the cancer. My dad was able to return home 24hrs after surgery and is doing great. It was a tough first night in the hospital for him and a rough first day home (no thanks to my mom and myself and our wonderful medication administration) but he is doing great and recovering quickly! I'm so glad that I was able to spend time with my dad and our family! Thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have taken such great care of my family and shown so much love to my parents! My dad is one of the the greatest men I know. He has always been there for me and our family. He is a hard worker and always did his best to provide for us. He is smart and witty...he is fun and silly. He is absolutely remarkable and I am proud to call him my Dad.
"Little girls do love their daddies... even after they are all grown up."
I love you Dad... get well soon!

I am so sorry (and shocked) to hear about the cancer. I am glad everything is going well for your dad! How lucky he is for a daughter who is a nurse! Please tell your parents we said hello! They will be in our prayers.
