Happy Love Day!

In the beginning .... there was just "HIM" .... and there was just "HER"

Something like this happened...... ... And then there was "US" So this Valentines Day was kind of a special one for us. It was ten years ago Valentines Day that thoes famous words were spoken... "So do you wan't to marry me or what?" Yep that's right... thoes were the words. It's been 10 whole years and we both agree it was the best decision we ever made! So of course Valentines Day is a little different these days with two little boys running around crazy and keeping us busy. No romantic dinner dates this year but we did have a nice day with our little family. Balloons and a fun Valentines breakfast including; strawberries, red eggs and cinnamon rolls with red sprinkles started off the morning before Porter was off to school. I was able to enjoy a fun day with "all" of my boys, even getting to see my sweet littlest boy via ultrasound. We ended our day with dinner at El Torrito Grill with the Hess family. The kids actually behaved pretty well and everyone managed to eat and enjoy each others company! I have to say that even though there was no candle lit dinner, romantic walks on the beach or dancing the night away... It was a great Valentines Day!

Fun Valentines Day breakfast Phearson playing with the balloons Porter enjoying his Valentine's rice krispy treat What a wonderful Valentines day and what a fun 10 years!!

Birth Order of Children

Does any of this sound familiar to you? I'm not sure if this is all true but It sure sounds pretty close to me. Just a glimpse into what baby #3 has to look forward to... poor little guy!

Your clothes: 1st Baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy. 2nd Baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible. 3rd Baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regualr clothes.

Preparing for the Birth: 1st Baby: You practice your breating religiously. 2nd baby: You don't bother because you remember that the last time, breathing didn't do a thing. 3rd Baby: You ask for an epidural in your eighth month.

The Layette: 1st Baby: You pre-wash newborn's closthes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby's little bureau. 2nd Baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains. 3rd Baby: Boys can wear pink, cant't they?

Worries: 1st Baby: At the first sign of distress-a whimper, a frown-you pick up the baby. 2nd Baby: You pick the baby up when their wails threaten to wake your firstborn. 3rd Baby: You teach your three-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing.

Pacifier: 1st Baby: If the pacifier falls on the floor, you put it away until you can go home and wash and boil it. 2nd Baby: When the pacifier falls on the floor, you squirt it off with some juice from the baby's bottle. 3rd Baby: You wipe it off on your shirt and pop it back in.

Diapering: 1st Baby: You change your baby's diapers every hour, whether they need it or not. 2nd Baby: You change their diaper every two to three hours, if needed. 3rd Baby: You try to change their diaper before others start to complain about the smell or you see it sagging to their knees.

Activities: 1st Baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics, Baby Swing, and Baby Story Hour. 2nd Baby: You take your infant to Baby Gymnastics. 3rd Baby: You take your infant to the superkmarket and the dry cleaner.

Going out: 1st Baby: The first time you leave your baby with a sitter, you call home five times. 2nd Baby: Just before you walk out the door, you remember to leave a number where you can be reached. 3rd Baby: You leave instructions for the sitter to call only if she sees blood.

At Home: 1st Baby: You spend a good bit of every day just gazing at the baby. 2nd Baby: You spend a bit of everyday watching to be sure your older child isn't squeezing, poking, or hitting the baby. 3rd Baby: You spen a little bit of every day hiding from the children.

Swallowing Coins: 1st child: When first child swallows a coin, you rush the child to the hospital and demand x-rays. 2nd child: When second child swallows a coin, you carefully watch for the coin to pass. 3rd child: When third child swallows a coin you deduct it from his allowance!

Family in Crisis

Someone please help! Ryan had a coupon for "buy one dozen, get a dozen free" Krispy Kreme Doughnuts so of course, not to pass up a chance of wasting a perfectly good coupon, off to get Doughnuts he went. THE PROBLEM... 1 1/2 dozen were eaten the first day!! And not all by the pregnant girl! Ryan and Porter mangaged to eat approximately 15 doughnuts (I think Phearson even got in on the mix before I even knew what was happening.) I finally cought on when I kept hearing the microwave going off. (Ryan heating up the doughnuts) Soooo.... the doughnuts were placed on top of the refrigerator hoping this would iniciate the "out of sight out of mind" idea and simply to keep them out of reach of little hands, but of course it could not be so easy. Today Porter asked for a doughnut and I told him no. Next thing I know he is sitting on the couch eating a Doughnut!! What?! Caught by daddy he smiled big, doughnut and all! Apparently he climbed up onto the kitchen counter, grabbed a doughnut out of the box on top of the refrigerator and darted from the kitchen within seconds... really I mean seconds! (I was sitting at the computer about two feet away and managed to miss the whole crime) What is this family coming too? Sugar addicitions, thevery, someone please help! Not to mention the 200 calories and 12gm of fat in each doughnut! Save the Rosenlof's!!! We need your help! Culprit #1
Culprit #2- Caught red handed "The thief" loving every minute of his doughnut! Is this what we are coming too?
Someone quick... send the fruit and veggies before it's too late!
