I have learned a few things now about this new baby coming to us. For one, he could probably join the circus some day and be very successful. I know this because of all the amazing tumbling and acrobatics he does inside me continuously. Secondly, it appears that he is going to be a jokester. He played a pretty good ole April fools trick on me today. It all started about 3:00am this morning when I was awakened (after FINALLY dozing off ) with some mighty strong contractions. I thought to myself... well here we go! I talked myself into waiting it out for "an hour" just to make sure the contractions continued and since the rest of the house was sound asleep. I layed there in bed with a million thoughts racing through my head about how my bag for the hospital wasn't packed yet, my floors needed to be cleaned, dishes done... I'm talking complete panic was setting in as I thought about all the laundry that I was going to do that day and that I didn't even have any clean clothes to take or wear to the hospital. After panting through contractions for about 45min with my sweet husband sleeping soundly next to me, the contractions started to decrease and I actually fell back to sleep. Whew!!! Only to wake up at about 6:15 to Phearson wide awake and ready to start his day. And yes... they were back... "THE CONTRACTIONS", not quiet as bad this time but very regular. So up I was, breakfast was served, kids bathed and Porter to school. I had convinced myself that today was probably going to be the day and I was going to suck it up, get my stuff together and be ready. After a quick last minute run to Target my bag was backed, floors cleaned, laundry in the works and I had made my peace with having this baby today.
I think I was even a little excited. (Photo by Porter this am)

Isn't it horrible being awake in the middle of the night with a sleeping husband?! Let me know if I can help with anything.

i find it hard to see you stressing out over anything, but if you are I guess a baby will do it! You finally look pregnant- it's about time!
Oh my gosh!! you seriously might have the baby when we are down there! Good luck tonight!!!
cleaning floors? laundry? target? contractions? geesh. mommies never get breaks, do they....
well, not too much longer... let's just let the floors go for now, ok? :)
Man... what a day! That would have been pretty cool to have him on your dad's birthday. You're such a trooper! I probably would have woke Derek up and made him sit there with me. If mama ain't sleepin', ain't nobody sleepin'! Just teasing. Good luck with everything!!!
P.S. You look awesome!
