So today was school pictures at preschool. Normally no big deal right, give the child a bath and throw a cute shirt on. But is it just me, or does there come a time in every kid's childhood that when asked to smile they are compelled to display the most weird, awkward, grin "smile". In Porter's case it's the classic "CHEESY" grin. It drives me crazy! I have been trying to break him of the habit and since school pictures were coming we have been practicing. Things usually start out alright but quickly proceed to "bad".

And when I asked him today after school how he smiled for his picture he proceeded to show me

Nothing but Cheese!The worse part... he is totally serious with this smile.

School pics are the WORST! Not only do the kids think their most retarded looking smile is great, but the photographer tells them to show teeth or some other dumb thing. The result is ugly pics. But, it is a right of passage that we all have been through ourselves- just pull out your school photos to remind yourself!
That brings back memories of FRIENDS, remember Chandler and the engagement pictures? Maybe I am the only FRIENDS fan, but it makes me laugh sooo hard. My nephew is 5 and he too does the cheesiest smile, ever! Can't wait for Haileys' and Rykers'!!

I am sure it turned out well. I think they smile differently for parents than for pros. I will anxiously be awaiting to see those pictures though! I am just glad Cody kept his button up shirt on this time!
That is so funny, I totally remember making Parker Practice, and me getting made fun of for it. That stage I must say is frustrating for sure, you almost have to catch them off guard!
