Have you ever...

Have you ever just had "that" kind of week? A week where it seems as though there are just a bunch of
Dark Clouds
hanging overhead?
Have you ever been stuck inside a confined space with three little ones for an extended period of time while the rain fell down around you(for days)?

Have you ever had one of the roughest days at work that left you devastated and in tears?

Have you ever had a child randomly, out of no where, vomit his food into the box lunch that the family is sharing at Disneyland and at the same time have two other children diarrhea their diapers so many times you had to leave the "happiest place on earth" early because you ran out of extra diapers and wipes? Have you ever awaken to the sound of little feet RUNNING to the bathroom as quickly as possible to then hear the splashing of another vomit session into the toilet and then have the child quietly return to his bed like nothing ever happened? Have you ever had these same children act as though everything is totally fine the whole time and not complain at all that they feel the least bit "sick" thus leaving you confused and wondering if they really are "sick" and or if "it" will happen again? Have you ever had a child grab a hold of your hand at the pizza parlor and tell you he needs to go to the bathroom... and then ask you to run as he hold desperately to his bottom? Have you ever had that child rip his pant down faster than lightening and then proceed to "go" and then vomit at the same time all over the public restroom tile floor? Have you ever tried to dodge splattering vomit while at the same time comfort the innocent little "vomitier"? Have you ever had to crank the paper towel dispenser so many times to get enough paper to clean up splattered child's vomit off a public restroom tile floor? Have you ever had to change 12 poopy diapers in one day? Have you ever had to rip off all the sheets and bedding from the top bunk bed in the middle of the night after you child has another random vomit session? (24 hrs since last vomit) While attempting not to wake the other children still sleeping in the room. Have you ever come down with the worst cold in your life? Have you ever just let the children play with dishes/Tupperware one evening in the kitchen for hours (making a complete mess) so that you don't have to try and entertain them until bedtime (while dad is not home) because you feel SOOOO CRAPPY? Have you ever turned the oven on the next day to make lunch only to remember you let the children play "cook" the evening before and the smell of burning plastic plates and smoke fill your house? Have you ever tried to clean up melted plastic plates from your oven and oven racks? Have you ever had to call in sick to work because you still feel SO incredibly CRAPPY? Have you ever turned your heater on early the next morning to warm the house before the kids wake up only to have the smoke detector go off and a horrible stench fill the house because one of the kids has dropped something down the heater? Have you ever made a pan of brownies and eaten about have of them all yourself?
GUESS WHAT....
I HAVE!!!
But don't you worry....
The sun is now shining,
The kids are back in school and playing outside,
The vomiting has stopped,
The diarrhea is slowing,
The cold is disappearing,
The oven is clean,
The heater is too.
I will return to work this week,
And the brownies were delish!!

Oh my, I can totally relate to this post. I have had the the kids vomit on each other when they were sleeping together, also one threw up all over "My" pillow and never woke up till I found it dry and caked in their hair!! And I was so looking forward to going stright to sleep on my nice pillow, gotta love those midnight baths! You almost have to laugh at all the poo and throw up cause kids are so unpredictable! I hate waking up in the middle of the night and changing sheets and doing a pile of laundry. I am a walking zombie at that point! Never had the issue with the oven but totally have had the issue with the heater, the kids leaving toys and plastic things on the heater vent.... it smelled for weeks!! Hope this week is better. You were brave trying to take sick kids out and about! I think I would have stayed locked up inside for weeks going nutz!

I wish I would have been able to help more. I have never experience about 80% of that stuff! I'd be throwing up right along. Good thing the sun is back out and things are looking up. Hope this week is a better one for ya!

I don't know what to say. We just got rid of that fun stuff too. MAN does it suck!! Hailey and Ryker both had it. I got it as well, and I know what you are talking about. I haven't had the pizza parlor fun yet though......can't wait, sounds amazing. I have had the ENDLESS laundry, of all the sheets and layered clothing, wow it never seems to end.At least yours is old enough not to have a accident. Hailey got the whole "blump" bowl down by the end of it all. Ryker doesn't know how to aim, except aiming on me! I am sorry that you were having a hard week. I am glad that it is over and we started another week, and that the sun is shining, because for us it's not. I think you are a great mom, and a great person. I admire you.
Hope to hear more exciting adventures!

Oh Autumn, this all sounds so crappy. It just seemed like one thing after another! I'm glad things are slowly returning to normal and the sun is peeking through again!

Try snow everyday and freezing weather, then you will find yourself really going insane with 3 little ones and fighting with your 2 year old over the pink crayon while coloring! I am so sorry about that horrible week but I couldn't help laugh about the burning plastic dishes. I'm glad it's over and that you are such a cute mom. Keep the stories coming, they help me realize I am not the only one.
