The happenings...

So first things first. Our vacation to Washington to see the Nash's was great! We had a ton of fun and I have so many pictures that I don't know where to start. As soon as I get them all downloaded and organized I will post. In the mean time...

Last night we ended up here.
And no, that is not some beautiful hotel on the beach but rather the main entrance to Hoag Hospital.
I was scheduled to work last night and of course, Mr. Tav fell and hit the back of his head somehow (I was in the other room) about an hour before I had to leave. He was pretty upset and I was having a hard time getting him to settle down. It seemed that any time I moved him he would grab the back of his head and squeal in pain and cry. There was no bump or cut to be seen anywhere. I dowsed him with some Tylenol and he eventually seemed to be a little bit better. I left him in good hands with Grammy (while dad was at baseball) and off to work I went.
Several hours later he was still hurting pretty bad and just not his happy, playful self so we decided we better have him checked out. I was still pretty concerned that there was no bump on his head. I kept thinking to myself... What if he has a cracked skull or is bleeding inside rather than on the outside? (maybe a little paranoid I know but give me a break I work in the ICU for a living) Luckily we happened to be overstaffed and it wasn't a big deal to leave work and meet Ryan and Tav at the ER.
Where he started off like this
But after a few x-rays, a dose of Motrin and some crackers and juice...
He ended up like this.
(and with a diagnosis of "Torticolis" aka muscle spasms of the neck)
And by today has figured out quite nicely how to function almost like normal without turning his head to the left.

Why do these kids have to scare us?! Glad he is ok. I love your way of thinking of the worse first, just like I would.

I am glad he is doing okay. I don't know what to do when kids get hurt, but freak out.
You guys are such great parents, I am happy that you got him checked.
