Please meet Bob.
Bob is an elf, sent from Santa himself.
Bob is very friendly. Sometime we call him "Bobby". Bob the elf only comes to stay at our house during the holidays. Each night while we sleep Bob flies to the North Pole. Of course Christmas magic helps him to be quick. He laughs with his friends and reports to Saint Nick. Bob tells Santa if "we" have been good or bad, which news of the day makes him happy or sad. A push or a shove he'll report to "the Boss" but small acts of kindness will not be a loss. He returns back to our house before we awake and then we must find the new spot he will take. He can hide on a plant, a shelf, or a frame. You never know just where he will be. It has become somewhat a game.
There is only one rule that we have to follow in order for Bob to come back tomorrow. We can not touch him. His magic might go and Santa won't hear all Bob has seen or he knows. Bob can't speak to us, so says Santa Claus. All of his elves have to follow his laws. We do talk to our friend Bob and tell him our wishes. The gleam in his eye and his bright little smile shows us he is listening and noting our file. But the night before Christmas Bob's job is at an end and the rest of the year with Santa he'll spend. We have all been very happy to have Bob around (Even Porter who has been a bit sceptical doesn't want to take any chances) We (Mom and Dad) are really going to miss our dear friend Bob the elf until he returns again next Christmas!

Ours is named dweasel and the boys are very excited to see him in the morning.......but I think he is broken, because they still fight, ignore me, make a mess, etc all right in front of him. He is running out of new spots to hide. I think the boys will miss him though
Too cute! I love the picture of the boys... so handsome!
My kids don't seem to quite understand the elf on the shelf yet... but next year! Woo hoo! :)
I have never heard of this....I must be under a rock! It is a great idea, I might just create an elf on the shelf for next year. Your boys look so great, they are all getting sooo big.
I love your Christmas card....your boys, are so great! They are awesome models! It is put together so well.
We hope you have a merry Christmas!! We sure love you and your family.
