Christmas

Just like most everyone else I love the Holidays! The lights, the decorations, the Christmas music, the traditions, the hustle and bustle... all of it... I just love.
This year was no different... I loved it all!
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #1- Picture with Santa Claus
We visit with Santa Claus and made sure he knows our Christmas wishes. (and get a picture of course!)
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #2- Christmas Eve Day
Now typically we don't have a particular Christmas Eve dinner tradition. It's usually more of a Christmas Eve "day" tradition to keep the kids busy, very busy, in order to make sure they are nice and tired Christmas Eve night. This year however we were lucky enough to have a fun Christmas Eve dinner with my parents (who came to California for Christmas) and my sister and family.
What better way to kick of Christmas with some good, southern, comfort, BBQ food from Lucille's!
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #3- Reindeer food
Every year the kids receive a letter from Santa in the mail which includes some "Reindeer food". The Reindeer food is to be spread, tossed, thrown across the lawn on Christmas Eve for all of Santa's Reindeer to snack on while Santa is "working" in the house.
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #4- Pajamas
Growing up (in both my family and Ryan's family) we always got to open ONE present on Christmas Eve. That special present was always a pair of new pajamas. This tradition has continued in "our" family.
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #5- Christmas Books
Every year my mom sends the boys/family a new Christmas book(s). We always read a Christmas story on Christmas Eve before the kids go to bed.
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #6- Spending Christmas morning at home
Although we love being with our families on Christmas we have made it a tradition to spend Christmas morning at our house. Let's face it.. it's just a whole lot easier that way!
This year Santa was very good to us. We got a ton of great gifts including a trampoline, ipods, gaming systems, LOTS of Legos, wetsuits, clothes, toys and much, much more!
Rosenlof family Christmas Tradition #7- A great Christmas night of sleep!
