(Ryan and Matthew- morning of "the sleepover")
The Plan-
The boys (Ryan and Matthew) had their regularly scheduled Saturday evening/night basketball. Megan was out of town with her girls and I had to work that night. Matthew's car was in the shop and supposed to be ready to pick up that day. Ryan and I had arranged to have two very sweet girls from the ward watch the kids until Ryan was home from the games. It would be late and the kids would be asleep so the plan was to have Matthew take the girls home, that way Ryan wouldn't have to wake the kids up and pile them in the car.
The "story" is-
Ryan left early for basketball to take Matthew to pick up his car from the shop, which was not ready and wouldn't be done until Monday. They went ahead and went to basketball together. They came back to our house after the games to take the babysitters home. I had the minivan with me at work. They only had Ryan's truck to drive. It wasn't till then did they remembered that Matthew never learned how to drive a stick shift....
So Ryan took the babysitters home and Matthew stayed with our kids. Ryan returned and it was now very late and they didn't want to wake the kids.
So......
Matthew had to stay the night.
(I think they just wanted to have a good old fashion sleepover)
But that's the story.... and their stick'n to it!
