So we got home tonight after a fun dinner at Islands with the Hess's (finally!!) and the minute we walk in the front door Porter is already saying he is hungry... of course! He didn't eat much of his dinner and was complaining at the restaurant that he "had a tummy ache". So when he started begging and pleading for a donut hole I told him "No". (About 50 times) As you can imagine the tears came as well as the Oscar winning performance of "the STARVING" child.
* Now for a little background info... Ryan has been working TONS (9-10hr days and every Saturday) the last 3 weeks or so and hasn't been around much. *
As I continue sorting the mail, I all of a sudden realize that the crying has stopped. I look up to see Porter and Ryan "briskly" walking down the hall to the boys room and faintly hear some whispering from Ryan. A minute or two goes by before I realize what just happened. Ryan being the "good guy" (this is where the guilty conscience comes in from not being around much lately!) has given Porter the donut and told him to go hide and not let mom see! And that is exactly what he did!
Oh my Sneaky, sneaky boys!!

Now for

We did get a second
Ryan before surgery... handled the IV like such a "big boy"! (He HATES that stuff and has been known to faint on occasion when having blood drawn)
After surgery.
Made a trip to the ER
Had a fun Barbecue!
With wonderful friends and family
And did some good old slipp'n and slide'n

Yes that is 2 visits to the ER in one day... seriously when does that ever happen! (Only at my house)
This time to get x-rays, a sling and another date with an orthopedic Dr. for a broken collar bone!
