Summer Vacation

This summer has been a blast! We have been fortunate enough to take several great family vacations. It has been wonderful. I feel like we have been going non stop (with a little bit of work in between) having so much fun that I am just now finding a minute to sit down and post about it.

Summer Vacation- Number One

We started the summer with a road trip to the Pacific Northwest, to celebrate the 4th of July with the Nash family.

The kids did pretty well on the 15 1/2 hour drive and managed to find ways to make themselves comfortable.

The scenery is so beautiful in Washington/Oregon and the bridges are fantastic. It was definitely a nice change.

"The Beach House"

Trent and Melissa have the funnest, cutest, beach house on the coast. (Long Beach, WA)

I wish I had pictures of every room to share with you. It really is so great. Below is a picture of the upstairs living room, kitchen, dining area, and fireplace. It also is complete with a master bedroom, guest bedroom, "Pirate" themed kids room, two bathrooms, and a deck.

The kids even have there very own "tree house" area right outside.

The beach is just a short walk away, and oh so beautiful.

The coast is very different than our beaches here in California with planes "touch and going" right in front of our eyes. (Still not sure that was 100% legal however, but quite exciting none of the less)

And this was just the beginning...
