Our new old Rosie

I would like to introduce Rosie.

Ryan has been dreaming of her for over a year now. He brought up the idea of purchasing a Motor home to me several months ago and eventually won me over. I was nervous because I knew that he wanted to pay cash for something which meant...
A. It was going to be "old".
B. We were going to have to put a lot of work into it to make it up to "wife standards" (sorry I just can't do dirty)
and C. It would probably be ugly
Luckily we found our Rosie and although she was "old" she was a gem. We couldn't be happier with her!
Just a little bit of information about our new addition to the family. She was born in 1987. She weighs "tons" and is 26 feet long. She is a decedent of the Tiago family. She sleeps 6 comfortably, has a shower, toilet, and full kitchen and awning. She has already gotten her first bath (both inside and out) and is still wearing her original "home from the hospital outfit", which is still in pretty good condition although we plan get her some updated "clothes" eventually. Her little brothers were more than excited to meet her!!

As soon as we had the chance we took her out for a test run.
We just did a quick overnighter down at San Onofre State Beach/Campgrounds. Needless to say we had a great time. Family, the beach, lounging, playing, all the amenities of home (almost)... what more could you ask for!

For those who know Ryan and I you know that we are a beach loving pair. So for us it really couldn't get much better... lounging on the beach with a bit of "Somewhere over the rainbow" by Isreal Kamakawiwol'ole playing on the ipod,

Kids playing in the sand and water while the hubby surfs

Absolutely HEAVEN! We had dinner at sunset

and devoured some yummy Oreo S'mores
We retreated to our new Rosie for bed and made a wish/need list of things to get for our next adventure. (We realized how much of 1st time campers we were)
The next morning we went down the road to San Onofre's State Beach to played some more. We built sand castles, caught sand crabs, lounged some more, surfed and sun'd.

Porter's first attempt at surfing
We love our new Rosie

And look forward to many more fun family adventures together!!
